Do you ever find yourself bored with Top 100 Classic Rock Songs lists that are dominated by the same handful of bands? Well, we've put an interesting twist on the format here at Ultimate Classic Rock -- you'll still find all of the expected legends, from Aerosmith to ZZ Top, as our countdown unfolds over the coming days, but each band only gets one song on our list.

It's a high-stakes poker game of sorts; everybody puts their best hand on the table, and then we run down the rankings. We'll be counting down our list throughout the month, and our hope is to spur twice as much conversation with each post: "Was the right song chosen to represent each artist or band?," and "Was that song slotted in its proper place?"

Of course, this twist also means that all but one song from even the most legendary of bands won't be represented. The amazing thing is, even after allowing 100 different bands onto the chart, there were still dozens of "how can _____ not be included?" discussions to be had at our planning meeting.

So, this may start a lot of fights, but we can at least promise you it won't be boring, and we hope you enjoy our unique take on the Top 100 Classic Rock Songs of all time!
