Former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde is willing to replace Dimebag Darrell should Pantera reform. In an interview promoting his book, 'Bringing Metal to the Children: The Complete Berzerker's Guide to World Tour Domination,' Wylde was asked the question that has been floating around the metal world for the past few months.

"I love all those guys," he told Billboard without reservations. "It would be an honor. How could I say no? I'd do my best to make them proud."

The speculation is based on an interview drummer Vinnie Paul did in March where he said that, if a reunion were to happen, Wylde, who was very close friends with Dimebag Darrell, would be the most obvious choice to replace him. "But I honestly think, out of respect for my brother," he added. "We should just leave the 14 amazing years Pantera had be."

Singer Phil Anselmo, on the other hand, isn't ready to jump into the Wylde Waters headfirst just yet. Last week, he said, "I’m not so sold on all that, because I think he and I have to sit down and hash some crap out. That day has not come yet, and [when] that day comes, I can comment further on it. As of right now, it’s just talk."
