Two drummers from influential bands that came of age in the '70s and still carry on today face off in the second round of March Drum Madness. And if their first-round victories are any indication, this is going to be one close battle between Aerosmith's Joey Kramer and Black Sabbath's Bill Ward.

We placed 32 of the most famous drummers in classic rock history into our March Drum Madness bracket. We're down to the "Sweet 16" already, and that number will be cut in half four more times until we arrive at your choice for the greatest rock drummer of all time.

Kramer beat ZZ Top's Frank Beard in the first-round voting, gathering 56 percent of the votes. Ward, meanwhile, barely took out Phil Collins in one of March Drum Madness' tightest victories -- he won with just 50.61 percent of the vote. Whew!

Kramer was responsible for giving his band its name, and he's played the fills on such Aerosmith classics as "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion." Ward, who's no longer playing with Sabbath, contributed to the band's greatest triumphs, including "Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath" and "Iron Man."

But who moves forward? It's up to you. You can vote once per hour in each of our eight current March Drum Madness battles until the second round closes on March 26 at 11:59PM ET. The ultimate winner will be revealed on April 7.
