Scorpions’ ‘Rock You Like a Hurricane’ Covered by Steel Panther and Chris Jericho
Special guests and NSFW antics are par for the course at any Steel Panther show, and when the band took the stage recently at the House of Blues in Hollywood, both were in plentiful supply.
As you can see in the video embedded above, the gig found the band teaming up with Fozzy singer / WWE superstar Chris Jericho and Black Veil Brides singer Andy Biersack for a cover of the Scorpions classic 'Rock You Like a Hurricane.' Steel Panther vocalist Michael Starr shares the mic with Jericho for the majority of the song, with Biersack chiming in during the chorus and a few verse lines.
While this rendition won't make anyone forget the original, it's vintage Steel Panther -- right down to the memorable flashing incident that occurs around the two-minute mark -- and even if they'll never sell as many records as the acts that inspired them, this clip's Sunset Strip party vibe should provoke a bittersweet pang of nostalgia in anyone who's old enough to remember the glory days of good-time rock 'n' roll.
Fortunately, there's more Steel Panther where that came from -- including the band's new album, 'All You Can Eat,' which arrived on April 1 and includes tracks such as 'Party Like Tomorrow Is the End of the World,' 'The Burden of Being Wonderful,' and 'F--ing My Heart in the Ass,' as well as a guest appearance from Def Leppard's Vivian Campbell. Put on your favorite pair of ripped jeans and turn it up loud -- but just like this video, you probably shouldn't play it in the office.
