Robert Plant will bring his Sensational Space Shifters to the American South this spring, in a tour that stops everywhere from Florida to Texas. In addition, the former Led Zeppelin front man announced that he is working on a new album with the group.

“I’m always eager to return to the hospitality of the Southern states,” Plant said in a news release announcing the dates. “Towns and cities that hold fond memories for me personally, places that gave birth to so much of the music I love.”

The tour begins with a multi-night visit in March at the Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival, then continues into Jackson, Miss., Baton Rouge, La., and Austin, Texas, among other stops. A complete list of announced dates and cities is below.

Plant also shared exciting news for those who loved Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar, his most recent collaboration with the Sensational Space Shifters: Another new studio project is on the way.

“Our recent travels have taken this wild whirlwind of a band though many incredible and inspiring places," Plant adds. "Having just begun work on our new album, we thought we’d take time out to raise a little sand and welcome springtime with one more adventure, another celebration of life and song.”
