Things are getting heated in our March Drum Madness, as Neil Peart takes on Keith Moon in the next round of voting.

We placed 32 of the most famous drummers in classic rock history into our bracket. Now, we've arrived at the Elite 8, and we'll keep cutting that number in half until we arrive at your choice for the greatest rock drummer of all time.

Probably not so surprisingly, Peart trampled Ginger Baker in the last round of voting, beating the Cream drummer with 90 percent of the vote. Moon also had an easy time beating his opponent, Iron Maiden's Nicko McBrain, with more than 80 percent of the vote.

Peart has played on most of Rush's greatest triumphs, which range from "2112" to "Tom Sawyer" and beyond. Moon, meanwhile, pretty much invented the madman-drummer persona with the Who, playing on classics like "My Generation" and "Won't Get Fooled Again."

Now we're forcing you to choose between the two rock legends in our 100 percent reader-voted competition. You can vote once an hour between now and when the polls close at 11:59PM ET on March 30.
