Jon Bon Jovi’s New York Penthouse Hits The Market for $42 Million
If you've got $42 million burning a hole in your pocket, a beautiful five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bath, 7,400-square foot New York penthouse could be yours! Bon Jovi front man Jon Bon Jovi recently listed his SoHo duplex for $42 million, a full $18 million more than what he bought it for a short six years ago.
As if buying a home from one of rock's biggest stars isn't enough, Bon Jovi's penthouse also boasts a wood-burning stove, a patio, a zen garden, two chefs kitchens, a private screening room with projection room. The lucky buyer will also be able to take in million-dollar views of New York City from the penthouse's three terraces and bask in natural light thanks to the floor to ceiling windows.
The listing for the unit which is located on the top floor of the New Museum's 158 Mercer Street building states, “This one-of-a-kind apartment is for the discerning buyer who can appreciate fine craftsmanship and all of the modern conveniences.” The purchase price, which involves a 10 percent down payment of $4.2 million, also includes all of the furniture, if that was going to be a deciding factor as to whether you bought the penthouse or not.
It has been a turbulent week of sorts for the New Jersey rocker. Ultimate Classic Rock reported that Jon Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora would be sitting out the group's current leg of their North American tour due to "personal issues". Some whispers have recently emerged that Sambora's absence from the Bon Jovi tour surround his ongoing battles with substance abuse.
