Here's a thought. How about getting John McVie some recognition for his birthday? The bassist and one of the founding members of Fleetwood Mac is often overlooked amongst some of the band's bigger personalities. Meanwhile, he stands toward the back of the stage laying down some killer bass licks.

The bassist, who turns 67 on Nov. 26, started his career with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, where he met Mick Fleetwood and Peter Green. The three of them would branch off to form the initial basis of Fleetwood Mac.

McVie's bass can be heard prominently in such Fleetwood Mac favorites as 'Dreams,' 'Sara' and 'The Chain' among others.
