Bob Welch Dies: Musicians React on Twitter
The death of former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Welch has left the music world in mourning. The musician was discovered dead in his Nashville home today (June 7) from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
The 65-year-old musician was not only a member of Fleetwood Mac from 1971 through 1974, but also formed the band Paris in addition to releasing the successful 1977 solo album, 'French Kiss,' which featured the hit tune 'Sentimental Lady.' Welch had reportedly been suffering health issues in recent years and left a suicide note.
A number of rockers have chimed in with their salutes, tributes and comments about the musician via Twitter. Nikki Sixx, Bryan Adams, Foghat and the Roots' ?uestlove were among the first to speak out. Read their various Tweets in tribute to Bob Welch below:
