AC/DC Begin U.S. Tour in Boston: Videos
Given the way that "Big Balls" got turned into two parodies about embattled New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady earlier this year, one would think that AC/DC would steer clear of that region on their tour in support of Rock or Bust. But, like going into prison and fighting the toughest guy in the joint on the first day, they opened the North American leg by playing the Patriots' home, Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
Opening with "Rock or Bust," which is embedded above, they performed an 18-song main set that drew heavily from their extensive catalog, with only three numbers -- the title track, "Play Ball" and "Baptism by Fire" -- coming from the new work. The two-song encore consisted of "Highway to Hell" and "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)." The setlist was virtually identical to when they opened the tour in Arnhem, Netherlands back in May.
AC/DC's next stop is this Wednesday, Aug. 26 at MetLife Stadium in E. Rutherford, N.J. From there, they will spend another month on the continent, playing seven shows in Canada and four in the U.S. You can see all the remaining dates here.
We've found videos of 13 of the songs -- 65 percent of the concert -- and embedded them 12 of them below ("Rock or Bust" can be found at the top) in the order that they were played so that you can get an idea of what to expect if you were fortunate enough to get tickets.
