AC/DC Play First Post-Malcolm Young Show at Coachella: Setlist, Video, Photos
AC/DC performed their first full concert since the health-related departure of founding guitarist Malcolm Young last night, closing out the opening night of the 2015 Coachella Festival in Indio, California. Malcolm's nephew Stevie has taken his place in the band.
According to Noise11, the group's 20-song set kicked off with "Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be," featured three songs from their new Rock or Bust album (the title track, first single "Play Ball" and "Baptism by Fire"), and concluded as per tradition with "For Those About to Rock." The full setlist can be found below, along with a dozen photos of lead guitarist Angus Young tearing up the stage in his awesome new red schoolboy suit. You can also watch the band perform "Back in Black" right here.
The evening also marked drummer Chris Slade's first full performance with the group in over 20 years. Longtime drummer Phil Rudd is currently in the midst of a legal battle after being accused of threatening to kill, possession of methamphetamine and possession of cannabis. Slade is expected to perform with the group for the entirety of their Rock or Bust world tour, which resumes April 17 during Coachella's second weekend.
