Creedence Clearwater Revival legend John Fogerty revisits some of his most beloved songs with help from a wide range of music stars on 'Wrote a Song for Everyone,' due out on Oct. 9.

Rock legends both of his generation (Bob Seger) and from new ones (Foo Fighters) join Fogerty for new recordings of 'Who'll Stop the Rain?' and 'Fortunate Son,' respectively, with country stars such as Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert also making appearances.

That's great, almost anything that puts these great songs in front of new people is A-OK by us. But please, Mr. Fogerty, don't show up on 'American Idol' anymore -- we don't want to have to cover it anymore. Deal?
