Guns N’ Roses' 'Use Your Illusion'-era touring lineup reunited in its entirety -- almost! -- at a Road Recovery benefit concert honoring Slash earlier this week in New York when Matt Sorum, Duff McKagan and Gilby Clarke joined the guitarist onstage at the soiree.

That left Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin and Dizzy Reed as the only holdouts from the reunion, although we wouldn’t hold our breaths for a full-scale comeback -- or even just a Slash and Rose onstage reconciliation -- anytime soon (or ever). But the missing participants didn't put a damper on the festivities, as the house band of Gunners and MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer busted through a hits-filled 14-song set that included covers of songs by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and more.

They also busted out 'Slither' by Velvet Revolver, another band that featured Sorum, McKagan and Slash. Guest musicians joining the core band included VR guitarist Dave Kushner, 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark' star Reeve Carney, Ours singer Jimmy Gnecco, punk legend Dick Manitoba and others.

'Entourage' actor Jeremy Piven also sat in on the drums earlier in the night for a performance of the Stones' 'Miss You,' and you can check out that story right over here.

All proceeds from the gig raised money for Road Recovery, a non-profit organization that works with at-risk kids. Click here to watch a slew of fan-shot footage from the gig.
