Scottish singer Sandi Thom is set to release her fourth album, 'Flesh and Blood,' on August 14. To help promote the record, which was recorded in Nashville and produced by Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes, Thom is releasing a cover song a week on her YouTube channel. The second installment of the series finds her tackling Guns N' Roses 1992 hit, 'November Rain.'

With just an acoustic guitar a couple of keyboards, Thom strips the song bare and brings out the sense of loss in the song. While it's a bit shocking to hear 'November Rain,' arguably Guns N' Roses' crowning achievement, with this arrangement and especially without Slash's epic outro solo, her skill as an interpretive singer allows the strength of the song to come through.

Thom has also uploaded a version of Bonnie Raitt's 'I Can't Make You Love Me,' with just her keyboard and an acoustic take on Alannah Myles' 'Black Velvet.'. New videos will be released every Thursday. You can download 'The Sun Comes Crashing Down,' the first single from 'Flesh and Blood,' from her website.
