Sammy Hagar turns 64 on Thursday (Oct. 13), and the Red Rocker celebrated the big day Sunday with a pre-birthday party at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Hagar and his Chickenfoot buddies took the stage for a surprise performance, a clip of which can be seen in fan-shot footage posted below.

The night before, Hagar kicked off his annual Birthday Bash festivities with an all-star show at the Cantina. "Guests included Michael Anthony, Kenny Chesney, Kenny Aronoff, Joe Satriani and Chad Kroeger... some smoking versions of 'Whole Lotta Love,' 'I'll Fall In Love Again' and 'Born on the Bayou' were unleashed," reads a post on Hagar's website. "Those who were checking Sammy's Facebook and Twitter pages were treated to a special unannounced live Webcast of the entire show."

Hagar is scheduled to mark his actual birthday Thursday by returning to the Cantina to rock the stage with his Wabos band. All Hagar birthday bash concerts sold out in a single day two months beforehand.
