Chester Bennington's death has spurred his fellow rockers to take to Twitter and other social-media platforms to express their shock and grief.

The Linkin Park singer was found earlier today in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles. Bennington's bandmate Mike Shinoda confirmed his death. The 41-year-old husband and father, who also was a later member of Stone Temple Pilots, recently mourned the passing of his friend Chris Cornell, who would have been 53 today. Bennington sang at Cornell's funeral.

Among those who've so far paid tribute to Bennington are Shinoda, Nikki Sixx and Richie Kotzen.

Rock legends like Bryan Adams, David Coverdale and Foghat have also commented on the sad news.

Members of Dream Theater, Guns N' Roses, Kiss and Living Colour have shared the shock of hearing about Bennington's death, so soon after Cornell's.
