A newly re-animated Aerosmith appeared to be at peace and in their natural environment during two invigorating performances on the 'American Idol' finale tonight.

John Fogerty joined 'American Idol' finalist Phillip Phillips on the show's season finale tonight to sing two Creedence Clearwater Revival songs, 'Have You Ever Seen the Rain' and 'Bad Moon Rising.'

Here we go with another performance by our favorite convulsing crooner, Phillip "Phillip Phillip Phillip etc." Phillips. The 'Idol' finalist got to choose one track he sang earlier in the season for this final 'Idol' performance episode, and he chose 'Movin' Out' by the "Piano Man" himself, Billy Joel.

It's a manipulative song; the title/hookline definitely scans like a fake testimonial from someone paid to say how awesome it was when Bruce Willis stopped the mean old asteroid in a circa-1997 Michael Bay ad campaign.
