Watch Black Country Communion’s New ’Sway’ Video
The latest studio-focused video from Black Country Communion is for the track “Sway,” following the recent releases of “Over My Head,” “Last Song for My Resting Place” and “Collide.” All four tracks appear on the band's comeback album BCCIV, which arrived in September.

Guitarist Joe Bonamassa recently shared how he had made contact with bandmates Glenn Hughes, Derek Sherinian and Jason Bonham to discuss the idea of reuniting four years after the supergroup had imploded as a result of personal disagreements.
“[I] figured I might as well revisit the BCC catalog," he said. "Listening to it, I thought we were really good when we were not being idiots, present company included. So I composed an email to everyone, saying a lot of people spend two lifetimes searching for a great band and never find it, while we threw it away like spare change. I said I’d be the first to sign up for anything new … I didn’t even know if I had the current email addresses for everyone. And they all responded within an hour!”
BCCIV was recorded with producer Kevin Shirley – who co-founded the band and can be seen in the "Sway" video counting them in in German and directing their progress. Studio sessions took place after Bonamassa and Hughes co-wrote the majority of the album together.
“All the songs were written with a topic," former Black Sabbath and Deep Purple member Hughes recently said. "What kind of song we’re going to write musically, what kind of song am I going to write lyrics about? This album is about walking through the fear, having faith, hope, the killing of dolphins – which I’m against, of course. The results speak for themselves. All four of us wanted to make a record that stood up to the first three albums. The new album is more of a progression.”
Black Country Communion have confirmed two U.K. shows early next year in support of BCCIV. They’ll play Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Jan. 2 and at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on Jan. 4.
