Aerosmith returned to the stage on Wednesday night following lead singer Steven Tyler's much-publicized bathtub tumble, and if the incident hadn't become international news over the last 48 hours the fans toward the back of the Jockey Club in Asuncion, Paraguay would have been none the wiser. Those up front would have wondered about the black eye, the busted lip and the bruise on his chin.

But he sounded great. Even Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry was amazed by Tyler's comeback following emergency dental surgery. "Steven even played harp with his busted lip," Perry tweeted. "My mind was blown."

As previously reported, Tyler became dizzy due to food poisoning and fell in his hotel bathroom. He lost two teeth and suffered numerous cuts to his famous face, but a local dentist gave him two dental implants. The video below shows him singing a near-flawless version of 'I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing.'

'Gotta hand it to Steven for playing the show tonight considering how sick was from food poisoning the night before. He's amazing," Perry said in a separate tweet. Anyone suspicious of the food poisoning explanation won't find their crack in Perry's account of the events.
