Late AC/DC vocalist Bon Scott is set to be the subject of a new Australian biopic, which has just secured funding.

The movie, titled 'Bon Scott,' will be funded by Screen Australia, which will provide financial assistance to help make a number of forthcoming films, including another one loosely based on late INXS vocalist Michael Hutchence.

While there aren't a lot of details available yet, we do know that the Scott biopic will be directed by Eddie Martin and produced by Lizzette Atkins. The pair previously worked together on a documentary about boxer Lionel Rose. It will be written by Sophie Edelstein, with additional script input from Australian screenplay writer Stephen Cleary.

Scott's legacy with AC/DC was recently celebrated with the first-time DVD/Blu-ray release of the classic AC/DC concert film 'Let There Be Rock.' We also paid tribute to Scott with our 10 Best Bon Scott AC/DC Songs list.
