Former Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell is set to release his first-ever solo album, Old Lions Still Roar.

Helping out on vocals will be Alice Cooper, Rob Halford of Judas Priest and Twisted Sister's Dee Snider.

"Happy to announce that my debut solo album Old Lions Still Roar will be out later this year," Campbell tweeted. "Old Lions Still Roar will include performances by the likes of @alicecooper, @deesnider & Rob Halford among others and is set to be released later this year via @nuclearblasteu!."

No details have been provided yet regarding the album's release date, other guests or artwork. While Old Lions Still Roar marks Campbell's solo debut, it's not his first recording since Motorhead ended following Lemmy Kilmister's death in 2015. Last year, he released The Age of Absurdity as Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, a group including his three sons -- Todd, Dane and Tyla -- and singer Neil Starr.

Campbell has been talking about his first solo album since 2016, when a photo of him with former Slipknot percussionist Chris Fehn appeared on social media.

"It's about 70 percent done," Campbell told UCR last year. "I'm trying to get it done by the end of the year. I really would like to get it out by next summer. I can't believe some of the artists I've got on there, some of my heroes. They've all been very cool and played on there."
