Even without their face paint, Kiss are one of the most revolutionary rock bands to ever walk the planet, and our choice to represent the letter "K."

Ah, who are we kidding? It's the face paint and the platform shoes and the outfits and just everything else that's so over the top that make Kiss so damn entertaining (and yes, revolutionary).

Armed with Paul Stanley's vocals and Gene Simmons' tongue, Kiss have had their share of ups and downs (remember that no-makeup phase?) over the past 40 years. But they continue to make countless new fans every year.
