In the early '80s, when arcades were the coolest hangout for teenagers, Bally Midway got the idea to brand a video game around one of the hottest touring acts going -- Journey. The idea was a solid one, though the execution for the band's self-titled game was a little lacking for true gamers.

The game itself featured digitized photos of Steve Perry, Neal Schon, Steve Smith, Jonathan Cain and Ross Valory. The player navigates the band member of their choice through various challenges to reunite them with their stolen instruments on different planets before returning to their spaceship. While the challenges play out, a looped version of 'Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)' plays in the background.
