Jeff Beck Announces Summer Tour Dates
Jeff Beck heads back out on the road this summer for a run of dates that's scheduled to include a special 50th anniversary show celebrating the guitar legend's half-century in music.
For the tour, which begins July 19 in Port Chester, N.Y., Beck will be joined by blues veteran Buddy Guy, who's set to serve as a co-headliner on the majority of the currently announced dates. The shows serve as a prelude of sorts for Beck's new book BECK01, which is slated for publication later this year and promises to unite his "twin inspirations -- hot rodding and rock 'n' roll."
According to a press release announcing the tour, the Aug. 10 date at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles — currently the final show Beck's booked — will be a "very special" date designed to honor his "50 years of dynamic music-making." Further details are presumably to follow.
Beck returned to record stores last year with the release of Live+, a collection of concert recordings from his 2014 tour with a pair of new studio tracks appended. His most recent studio effort, Emotion & Commotion, arrived in 2010. Check out his complete list of current dates below, and visit Beck's official site for information.
