Iron Maiden Rare Japanese Promo Fetches Big Money on eBay

An Iron Maiden Japanese '2 Minutes To Midnight' 7" Promo EP sold on eBay Friday for big money. The auction ended on Oct. 21 and closed with 16 bidders aiming to own one of the rarest Iron Maiden collectibles in existence.

This Japanese EP was only issued as a promo 'special DJ copy' and fetched $3,350 total. This 7" is considered by collectors the ultimate item to possess and some go as far as to say it's the rarest Iron Maiden record in the world. Of the five Japanese vinyl 7" promos, this is the one that is most sought after.

This EP has a white label promo with a color sleeve front and a Japanese one sheet. Pressed as a limited run, there are not many known copies in existence and this one was listed in "very good condition." To quote the seller it's a "super, ultra, hard to find, promo only" copy.
