Iron Maiden's next tour will see the band revisiting some of its best-loved material from the '80s — and the group is already planning to line up shows into 2019.

The Legacy of the Beast World Tour, scheduled to begin May 26 in Estonia with dates currently announced through early August, was inspired by the band's mobile game and comic book of the same name. To reflect the set list's focus, the stage design will depict interlocking "worlds" reflecting the '80s cuts on the set list as well as the "handful of surprises" they're promising from later in their career.

As manager Rod Smallwood pointed out in a press release, the upcoming tour fits into the band's pattern of alternating between touring behind new records and delving into their catalog.

"We enjoy working this way for many reasons, not least because it gives the band a chance to play both new material and the older favorites which we know fans like to hear," said Smallwood. "It keeps things fresh, not just for the fans but for the band too."

Adding that the Legacy of the Beast tour name "suits our purposes perfectly by giving us scope to get creative and have some fun, especially with Eddie," Smallwood said he didn't "want to give too much away" but hinted, "we’re working on a number of different stage sets, all in keeping with the Maiden tradition and we hope to give our fans a fantastic experience when they come to see this very special show."

Most Legacy of the Beast shows are scheduled to go on sale Nov. 24, with fan club members getting early access via an exclusive pre-sale on Nov. 20. Look over the complete list of currently announced dates below, and visit Iron Maiden's website for detailed ticketing information.
