Glenn Frey’s $15 Million Mansion Is for Sale
Late Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey’s Los Angeles mansion has been put up for sale, with a price tag of almost $15 million. The Spanish-style property, which spans 9,000 square feet, was built in 1996 and bought by Frey and his wife Cindy in 2002.
Located in the exclusive Brentwood area, the house includes six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, two family rooms, a basement bar and a home theater. The grounds contain a pool and spa, fitness center and rose gardens. Sales agents Redfin are offering arranged tours of the mansion, noting that it represents an “extremely rare opportunity to purchase a magnificent estate with sprawling grounds and great privacy.”
Frey died in January 2016 after suffering months of complications from intestinal problems. The Eagles paid tribute to him the following month at that year’s Grammy Awards ceremony, amid speculation that the band was going to break up. But they performed their first full-length concert without Frey in July 2017, with his son Deacon onstage alongside country musician Vince Gill. “This one’s for you, Glenn,” Don Henley said. “You’re in our hearts tonight and the music goes on.”
Cindy Frey is reported to have purchased a smaller home near the mansion, while the family is said to own other houses in La Quinta, Calif., Maui, Colorado and New York City.
