A George Harrison video extract from the upcoming documentary ‘Living In The Material World’ has debuted at Harrison’s website. As reported earlier the USA broadcast is scheduled to air exclusively on HBO Oct. 5 (Part 1) and Oct 6 (Part 2). The USA home video release of the film will follow in the spring.

This short video clip gives us a glimpse of the intense musical bond between Beatle George and some of his closest friends, including Ringo Starr and Eric Clapton. Hearing Clapton talk about Harrison’s sweet approach to writing ‘Here Comes The Sun’ while walking through his garden is touching to say the least.

If you live in the UK, you can view the film in full on Oct. 4 in the cinema for one day only and then purchase it a week later when it’s made available on DVD, Blu-ray and deluxe edition versions. All three formats will be available to purchase on Oct. 10.

The limited-edition deluxe version is packaged in a picture frame box, with an easel back for photo display. It includes 2 DVDs and one Blu-ray, featuring the documentary plus 11 bonus features, a 10 track CD of previously unreleased recordings, two exclusive lithographs and a 96-page book. Just in case you're wondering what to get your favorite UCR reporter for the upcoming holidays.
