Europe have confirmed that their 11th studio album, Walk the Earth, will be released on Oct. 20, and it will be accompanied by a run of European tour dates.

The follow-up to 2015s’ War of Kings contains 10 tracks produced by Dave Cobb at London’s Abbey Road Studios, and it’s described as “an album that is big in its scope and sound.”

Frontman Joey Tempest said that the album artwork was commissioned from Los Angeles artist Mike Sportes after the band saw Cobb wearing one of his shirts. “We knew we had to check Mike’s other work and have him come up with an exclusive design for us, based on the vibe of the album,” the singer said. “We’re very proud to have his amazing artwork as the album cover.”

The LP will be released via Hell & Back Recordings, which noted, “From the anthemic sound of the opening title track to the heavy vibe that is ‘Haze’ – and from the instant melody of ‘Election Day’ to the lyrical content of ‘Kingdom United’ – Walk the Earth is the album that should see Europe rightly acclaimed as a band at the height of their powers. Much like War of Kings, Walk the Earth has instant appeal but is also an album that needs to be lived with in order to uncover its depth.”

Europe will undertake a U.K. arena tour with Deep Purple to promote the release, with further European dates to be announced. Last year they toured to mark the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough album The Final Countdown. The final show from that run, at London’s Roundhouse, was released on DVD earlier this month.
