Duff McKagan recently published his second book, How to Be a Man (And Other Illusions). Ultimate Classic Rock and Loudwire have teamed up with McKagan to give two lucky winners a signed copy of the book along with a Fender Duff McKagan Signature Precision Bass.

The bass, which is modeled on the instrument he’s played since the early days of Guns N’ Roses, combines the body of a Precision Bass and the fast neck of a Jazz Bass. It has pickups from both instruments, a vintage split single-coil in the middle position and a Seymour Duncan STKJ2B by the bridge. There are volume controls for both pickups and a three-way toggle switch, while the Treble Bass Expander offers greater brightness and presence. It has a pearl white body with a black headstock and neck featuring an engraved skull-and-crossbones neck plate.

In How to Be a Man (And Other Illusions), McKagan imparts wisdom he’s learned from a life lived in rock 'n’ roll. But he’s quick to point out that “[i]t’s not an advice book at all, it’s just common things that I think all of us go through as dudes, especially in this modern era.” How to Be a Man is the follow-up to his 2012 bestseller It’s So Easy (And Other Lies), you can read an excerpt about his first-ever sober show and purchase the book at Amazon.

For your chance to win the bass and the book, follow the instructions in the widget above. This contest runs through Aug. 8 at 11:59PM ET. Be sure to read our official contest rules, and good luck!
