The Doobie Brothers have added 23 dates to next year's tour, their first with five-time Grammy winner Michael McDonald since 1996.

Most of the new shows will be interspersed among the dates revealed last week, with four others extending the trek by one week. The band will now wrap up Oct. 17 at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.

Tickets for the new dates (which you can see in bold below) will go on sale Dec. 6 at LiveNation, with VIP packages available at LaneOne. The Doobie Brothers also announced that the Dirty Dozen Brass Band will serve as the opening act for the entire tour.

“Next year our tour will include Tom [Johnston], John [McFee] and myself, along with Michael McDonald," Patrick Simmons said in a press release. "The fans will have a chance to hear all our hits, as well as deep cuts and new material. I know these will be very special performances."

The news of the Doobies' reunion with McDonald comes on the heels of their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination, the first time they've ever been shortlisted for induction. Next year's class will be announced in January.

"I wish we had been in a long time ago," Johnston told the Cincinnati Enquirer. "Our band has definitely been around long enough, made enough noise hit-wise, given a lot of people a lot of pleasure and is still out doing it. I don’t know what else would be required. I think those are the requirements."
