Don Dokken feels like fans will probably never get a chance to hear Dokken's classic lineup back in action, and he knows exactly who to blame.

Somewhat surprisingly, the sticking point isn't the occasionally rather tense relationship between Dokken and guitarist George Lynch. Instead, as Dokken revealed during a recent visit to Eddie Trunk Live, scheduling conflicts are to blame — specifically, bassist Jeff Pilson's ongoing commitment to his current gig in Foreigner.

"I talked to George about the Dokken reunion," claimed Dokken. "It's been going on for two years. We were all up for it. But Jeff is busy with Foreigner until 2018. He said, 'Well, let's do it in 2018' — but by then, ISIS might be running this country. So it's off the books. It's not happening."

Lynch, who recently teamed up with Stryper's Michael Sweet for the Sweet and Lynch duo project, seemed not to take the subject of a reunion seriously when it came up during a recent interview with Glide, laughing that while he and Dokken had indeed been "talking again" about some sort of project, the idea "comes and goes every couple of years, so who knows?"

In the meantime, Dokken remains on the road with his band's current lineup, with a round of fall dates that includes a headlining appearance at this year's Rockingham festival. Check out the complete list of scheduled shows below.
