Deep Purple have released a teaser video for their Time for Bedlam EP, which arrives this week, ahead of their 20th album, InFinite, due in April.

The brief promo is taken from the documentary From Here to InFinite, which will accompany the new album. In the clip -- which you can watch above -- singer Ian Gillan credits producer Bob Ezrin for giving the band a new lease of life in the studio. “Bob said, ‘I’d like to hear you just stretch out and play as you used to do, and play as you do onstage,'" Gillan said. "It was like somebody opened a door. We went through it.”

Time for Bedlam is a limited-edition release containing unreleased material that won’t appear on InFinite. The EP comes out on Feb. 3, almost two months before the album's arrival on April 7. A lyric video for the title track of the new LP was released in December. You can watch it below.

Deep Purple recently announced an upcoming world tour would be called The Long Goodbye – although they haven’t confirmed whether it represents a farewell project. It’s been speculated that drummer Ian Paice’s mini-stroke in 2016 may have contributed to a decision to close their career.
