UPDATE: Find new footage below that shows more of what happened before Vince Neil and Nicolas Cage emerged from the hotel.

We're placing our bets now that this will be the most WTF news story you'll read all day. Apparently, Nicolas Cage got into a scuffle with Vince Neil in front of a Las Vegas hotel yesterday.

TMZ reports that the Leaving Las Vegas star approached the Motley Crue singer after the latter reportedly assaulted a woman. According to the site, Neil “is now the subject of a criminal investigation.”

There's not much information here, but as the brief video clip – shot through a car window – on TMZ (and which you can watch above) reveals, Cage started screaming at Neil, who approached the actor. It appears that Cage says something like "I'm helping you" at first. Cage then grabbed Neil in a sorta half-headlock and yells, "Stop this s--- now!" before some beefy guys step in to deflate the situation. (Cage also attempted to utter something else, which sounds like, "Give me my rent" or "Give me my wrench," which we're probably hearing wrong.)

TMZ notes that law enforcement sources report that the fight happened at around 5PM at the Aria Hotel on the Vegas strip. "We're told Nic and Vince were inside when a woman came up to Nic and asked for an autograph," TMZ reports. "Our sources say Vince allegedly got behind the woman, grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the ground."

A source also told TMZ that Cage tried to restrain and calm down Neil by taking him outside of the hotel and into a car. Apparently, that's where the original video starts.
