Van Halen may have had three different singers throughout their illustrious 35-year career, but the one business constant was their record label. The band was signed to Warner Bros. for its entire career but industry insiders at Hits Daily Double are reporting that the band has split with Warner after three decades of rock and has partnered with Sony by signing a brand new deal with Columbia Records. There has been no confirmation on this rumor yet.

VH fans are more than well aware of the fact that the band has recorded a new studio album with original singer David Lee Roth. It marks the band's first album with DLR at the vocal helm in 27 years. A swirl of rumors surrounded the album over the past few weeks. The latest speculation is that album is due out sometime in 2012. The new platter has reportedly been recorded, with producer Ross Hogarth telling Ultimate-Guitar earlier this summer that "it's the killing side of Van Halen at the top of their game again with Diamond Dave and the band is on fire."

The band has been relatively silent as the rumors and speculation continue to mount.
