Tommy Lee of Motley Crue Sued For Assault
A Florida resident has filed a civil suit against Tommy Lee of Motley Crue. The man is claiming that the drummer, who is no stranger to controversy, assaulted him on a Florida beach last summer.
The Broward Palm Beach County New Times has discovered a press release filed by the attorney of the plaintiff, Freddy Hernandez. According to the statement, Hernandez was patronizing a public beach in Palm Beach County, Fla. on July 7, 2012 when he spotted Lee. Hernandez picked up his camera and began taking pictures.
Apparently, this enraged Lee, who, the press release alleges, "touched and/or struck Freddy Hernandez without his permission, by hitting his camera, while Mr. Hernandez was holding said camera." The suit claims Hernandez was injured as a result of Lee's actions.
A search on Case #502013CA003108XXXXMB at the Palm Beach County Clerk & Comptroller's website reveals that the suit was filed Feb. 22., and that some preliminary paperwork has already been submitted. There is no public knowledge yet of the extent of Hernandez's injuries, nor of the damages he is seeking.
Hernandez's attorney, Robert Dixon, has a website at FLaccidentattorney.com, where he states that he has "a successful history of obtaining just compensation for clients in a wide range of personal injury cases."
