With Motley Crue having wrapped their massive summer tour, drummer Tommy Lee is now freed up to work on his other projects and flex his creative muscles. (Not that muscle, either!) First up? A pair of singles with his electro-house partner, DJ Aero.

The duo are releasing 'Static' and 'LFO Tool' through Deadmau5's Mau5trap label. The singles will appear on the 'Meowingtons Hax' compilation, which you can pick up at Beatport if you are so inclined. It's obviously a far cry from Lee's work in the Crue and even Methods of Mayhem, but if you like electronic music and you dig Lee's other pursuits, it's worth a second look.

And while Lee, who has the energy of a 12-year-old that chugged a case of a Red Bull, only recently got off the road with The Crue, he is headed right back on the road to promote these singles and to do his thing. He and DJ Aero joined up with deadmau5 on his tour this week, playing four shows at the Hollywood Palladium. Three of the shows were sold out, so the dates were a perfect avenue for Lee to spread the word about his other endeavors to the audience he is trying to reach.

Other tour stops include Denver, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Austin, Houston, Dallas, Boston, Detroit, Chicago, San Diego and San Francisco, which Lee and DJ Aero will hit this fall. They will also crash the Electric Zoo at Randall's Island in New York City on Sept. 3 and the Labor of Love Festival in Toronto on Sept. 4.

The, um, interesting video for 'Static' features Lee bouncing up and down while spinning and a fine young gentleman who dances while scantily clad.
