Slash has completed the first recording session for his upcoming solo album, which follows last year's self-titled, star-studded affair. The top-hatted one is holed up at Barefoot Recording, which is nestled in his Hollywood stomping grounds. Producer Eric Valentine, who has worked with multi-platinum rockers Queens of the Stone Age, is twiddling the knobs for Slash on this platter; it's a reprise situation, since he and Slash worked together on the last disc.

The new disc is currently untitled but should arrive as soon as April of 2012, so that's something to look forward to, all you Slash fans.

Some of the new track titles have been revealed and they include 'Halo,' 'Standing in the Sun' and 'Bad Rain.'

In a short video teaser, from footage captured in the studio, the always chatty Slash spoke about the album's players, saying, "I had no idea we would lock in as well as we have…I'm really f---ing excited."

We second that, Slash! We're really f---ing excited, too.

In other Slash news, the guitarist will appear on next Saturday night's episode (Nov. 19) of VH1 Classic's 'That Metal Show,' so be sure and tune in at 11 PM ET. It would stand to reason the the legendary axeman would share even more details about his latest solo offering at that time.
