Having already conquered radio, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood is turning his focus to television with a newly announced TV show.

‘The Ronnie Wood Show’ will give fans a backstage view into his award-winning radio program of the same name, which nabbed two trophies at the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards in July.

As has been the case previously, Wood will continue to host fellow artists and industry figures as guests on the program. To date, he has welcomed an eclectic variety of visitors, including former Faces bandmate Kenney Jones, Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols, former Supremes singer Mary Wilson and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Wood commented on the new show, saying: “I’ve had so much fun doing my radio show and had lots of success with recent awards. It’s now going to TV to give the audience the chance to see behind the scenes.”

With 16 months of sobriety under his belt, Wood has also taken up a new hobby of gardening, and says that he takes his new-found sober lifestyle “one day at a time.”
