The most recent tour of Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band concluded on Saturday (July 21) at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. For the finale, 'With a Little Help from My Friends,' Starr, um, got by with a lot of help from his friends.

And while we realize that line has been used in every article written about the All-Starr Band since its inception in 1989, joining Starr onstage at the Greek were his buddy (and brother-in-law) Joe Walsh, as well as Peter Frampton, Jeff Lynne and Gary 'Dream Weaver' Wright, all of whom have worked with Starr in the past. Three of his fellow drummers also made it onto the stage: studio legend Jim Keltner, Matt Sorum, and Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees.

Typically, the ex-Beatle poked fun at himself throughout the night, whether it was about the poor sales of his most recent album, 'Ringo 2012,' or the lyrics to the White Album's 'Don't Pass Me By,' his first recorded solo composition. “When I wrote those words -- 'You were in a car crash/And you lost your hair,'" he told the crowd. "I thought, 'Watch out, Lennon and McCartney!'"

The 2012 edition of the All-Starr Band included such names as Todd Rundgren, Steve Lukather of Toto, Gregg Rolie of Journey and Santana, and Mr. Mister frontman Richard Page.
