After a return stint to rehab, reportedly self-imposed, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora is back on the road, like a cowboy, riding a steel horse. (Forgive us...)

Sambora departed rehab today, according to TMZ, and flew from Los Angeles to New York City's JFK airport, where he was reportedly in a good mood and signing autographs for fans.

There’s no rest for Sambora however -- he’s headed right back out on the road with Bon Jovi for the next dates of their current European tour. The band is scheduled to perform in Croatia on Wednesday.

Bon Jovi continued to tour during Sambora’s absence, with former Triumph guitarist Phil X stepping in as a substitute guitarist for Sambora.  At that time, the band said in a prepared statement “our support for Richie is absolute” and said that “although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue our tour.”
