Guitarist Jake E. Lee and his band, Red Dragon Cartel, were unhurt after their limo caught fire on on a California freeway yesterday.

According to KTVU, the band's limousine burst into flames near a freeway exit in San Jose a little before 6PM. Six people -- including members of the band and its road crew -- were in the vehicle, and all escaped with no injuries.

"Officers said the band members and the driver noticed an electrical short," reports KTVU. "When they saw smoke, the driver quickly evacuated the limo. The fire temporarily shut down two lanes, and there were some traffic delays."

The limo was reportedly hired by the Rockbar Theater, the club where Red Dragon Cartel are scheduled to perform tonight. A local resident tweeted some photos from the fire.

Lee, who played on Ozzy Osbourne's Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin albums in the mid-'80s, joined Badlands at the end of that decade. He recorded a few solo records before forming Red Dragon Cartel and releasing their debut album last year.

The band has had a bit of bad luck this year. Earlier in 2015, they had to postpone some shows after the 58-year-old Lee injured his back.
