Metallica Offers a Preview of Their Upcoming 16-Disc Live Vinyl Box Set

Here's an early peek at what's in store as Metallica releases four complete shows from their 2014 By Request tour on vinyl. The above unboxing video focuses on the Montreal set, recorded live at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Aug. 9, 2014.

This show joins three other limited-edition quadruple vinyl sets from Bogota, Helsinki and Istanbul. A complete track list from Montreal is below. The concerts were selected, as with their source-material setlists, by Metallica's fans. “With your help voting for your faves, we've pressed four shows from the 2014 Metallica By Request tour on 180-gram vinyl," the band said in a release.

There will only be 500 copies issued of each. Fans can pre-order the entire 16-disc four-pack now at a reduced price, or purchase the Montreal show separately. The other three sets will be available individually beginning on Nov. 9. The four-pack box will then ship by the end of the month, Metallica says.
