After nearly 25 years, the annual Warped Tour came to an end last night, with its final show taking place at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Fla. But Jordan Buckley, guitarist for Every Time I Die, wasn't ready to call it quits. As the crew began dismantling the set around him, Buckley kept playing.

The band was playing "Map Change" and, shortly after the five-minute mark, the other members removed their instruments and left the stage. But not Buckley. He continued for another nine minutes until someone told him it was time to get off the stage.

He then jumped into the crowd and surfed while playing for a little while longer.

The Warped tour began in 1995, with sneaker manufacturer Vans picking up naming rights a year later. Over the years, the tour welcomed many up-and-coming punk and metal acts from around the world to its stages. Earlier this year, founder Kevin Lyman said this would be the last go-round in its current format, telling Billboard he was "tired" after 26 summers in the touring business, including three with Lollapalooza.

“I wanna go have fun,” he said. “It hasn’t been fun the last few years. ... I’ve put my body and soul into this thing. I’ve had a knee replacement. I’ve had an ankle rebuilt. I’m going to beat the hell out of myself working in this business for 37 years. You look at pictures from four, five, six years ago, and these years have taken a toll on me. I’ve definitely taken on the weight of a lot of different things, and you know that when you don’t sleep at night. You’re lying there thinking about things, and it’s time to make a change for your own health."

Still, Lyman said in a statement on the tour's website that he and his colleagues are planning something special for next year: "The enduring spirit of the Vans Warped Tour remains bright as ever," he noted, "continuing to inspire creativity and ambition in new and exciting ways as we prepare for a 25th anniversary celebration in 2019."
