Now that the Allman Brothers Band have called it a day, guitarist Warren Haynes has a little more time on his hands. And he's using it to put together an album of Pink Floyd covers recorded by his other band, Gov't Mule.

'Dark Side of the Mule' gathers various live versions of Pink Floyd songs that Gov't Mule recorded in 2008 at an epic three-hour gig in Boston. You can watch a teaser video for the album above.

'Dark Side of the Mule' also kicks off a new archival series, which will pull songs and performances from the band's vaults that show Gov't Mule's evolution over the years. “These new archival live releases just further that concept," Haynes said (via Classic Rock magazine), "and allow us to highlight some of our influences as well as how far we’ve come since the first album.”

The album -- which comes out on Dec. 8 -- will be available as a three-disc set. You can see the track listing below. It will also be pared down to a single-disc edition for less-adventurous fans.
