Foo Fighters will perform their newest single, 'Walk,' on the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, which take place June 5 in Universal City, Calif. In addition, the band has announced dates for a fall leg of their U.S. tour.

'Walk' is the the second single off Foo Fighters' latest album, 'Wasting Light,' which has already yielded the No. 1 rock song 'Rope.' Look for frontman Dave Grohl and company to deliver a high-energy performance on the MTV Movie Awards, which air live June 5 at 9PM ET.

The Foos recently unveiled dates for the fall 2011 leg of their North American tour. The newly added shows kick off Sept. 14 in St. Paul, Minn., and currently run through a Sept. 26 gig in E. Rutherford, N.J. The band also has a couple of dates left on its spring trek, as well as headlining slots at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Wash., on May 27 and at Lollapalooza in Chicago on Aug. 7.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters ended up playing two sets on Saturday (May 21) at the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Ala., when they filled in for pop singer Cee Lo Green, who was a late arrival to the event. The Foos busted out Alice Cooper's 'School's Out,' Queen's 'Tie Your Mother Down' and Tom Petty's 'Breakdown' during the impromptu gig, and were later joined by Cee Lo for a performance of Prince's 'Darling Nikki.'
