Bruce Springsteen fans will get their only look at songs from his most recent album Western Stars performed live in a new movie that will arrive in theaters in October.

No specific date has been attached to the opening of the film, in which Springsteen makes his directorial debut along with longtime collaborator Thom Zimny. Prior to its general release, Western Stars will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from Sept. 5 to Sept. 15.

You can watch the new trailer for the movie below.

"Touching on themes of love and loss, loneliness and family and the inexorable passage of time, the documentary film evokes the American West — both the mythic and the hardscrabble — weaving archival footage and Springsteen’s personal narration with song to tell the story of Western Stars," a press release notes.

News of the movie arrived in July, with Springsteen saying he made it because he knew he wasn't going to be touring behind the record. Instead, he and a group of musicians, including wife Patti Scialfa and an orchestra, set up shop in his barn and performed in front of some friends and cameras.

“Bruce lives in the super-rarified air of artists who have blazed new and important trails deep into their careers," Warner Bros. Pictures' Toby Emmerich said. "With Western Stars, Bruce is pivoting yet again, taking us with him on an emotional and introspective cinematic journey, looking back and looking ahead. As one of his many fans for over 40 years, I couldn’t be happier to be a rider on this train with Bruce and Thom.”

Western Stars will be the third movie with a Bruce Springsteen connection to come out in 2019. Blinded by the Light, a movie about a Springsteen fan of Pakistani descent growing up in the '80s, opened in theaters across the U.S. this past weekend, and a few months ago, Asbury Park: Riot, Redemption, Rock 'n' Roll, a documentary about Springsteen's New Jersey hometown that also features performances by the artist, was released.
