Brian Wilson has a message for fans who have heard rumors about a problem with his health: Don't worry, baby.

Posting to his Tumblr account, the Beach Boys founder revealed that he was recently laid up following his second back surgery in a year, but stressed that everything went well. Starting by telling them that he's "been reading the posts where some of you are concerned about my health in general," Wilson admitted, "I was having some lower back issues right around the time we performed on the Grammys in February."

The problem, explained Wilson, is "hereditary" -- in fact, his late brother Carl, who succumbed to cancer in 1998, suffered from the same thing. Ordinarily, Wilson might have looked into more long-term solutions, but as he pointed out, "Being able to tour with the Boys again meant so much to me that I wouldn't have missed it for the world."

Continued Wilson, "Luckily, I was able to get this new cutting edge procedure that totally worked. But after this last run in Australia it came back and I had the procedure redone this week." And now that he's on the mend, "I feel so much better already and can't wait to get back to my second home, London!"

As referenced in Wilson's post, the Beach Boys are ramping up for another round of tour dates, scheduled to kick off at London's Royal Albert Hall on Sept. 27 and continuing the following night at Wembley Arena. The band has been on the road celebrating its 50th anniversary with a new album, 'That's Why God Made the Radio,' as well as another best-of compilation, the simply titled 'Greatest Hits,' due Oct. 9.
