Watch Black Sabbath Perform ‘Children of the Grave’ From Final Show
Black Sabbath have released a clip of “Children of the Grave” from the final show of their farewell tour. The video, which you can watch above, is taken from The End of The End concert movie, which will be screened in select theaters for one night only on Sept. 28.
The metal icons’ final tour started in 2016 and finished in February 2017 in their home city of Birmingham, with a two-night stint at the Genting Arena. Footage from both shows has been mixed into the film, which also includes offstage scenes and interviews with founding members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler.
“To bring it all back home after all these years was pretty special," the band said in a press release for the movie. "It was so hard to say goodbye to the fans, who’ve been incredibly loyal to us through the years. We never dreamed in the early days that we'd be here 49 years later, doing our last show on our home turf.”
Guitarist Iommi – whose cancer issues contributed to the band’s decision to stop touring – emphasized in February that he wasn’t planning to retire. “I’m still going to write and put stuff out," he told Ultimate Classic Rock last year. "I’ve been offered quite a lot of stuff at the moment. It’s quite exciting. It’s all there, and it needs some thought. I don’t want to rush into anything.”
While singer Osbourne has already returned to his solo career, playing a handful of shows with returning guitarist Zakk Wylde, bassist Butler has not yet revealed any plans. “My life will be very empty without the band," he said last year. "I hope our music will be around for a very long time after we’ve gone.”
Tickets to see The End of the End are on sale now.
