Ace Frehley, Corrosion of Conformity and Melvins Slated for 2017 Psycho Las Vegas Festival
Ace Frehley, Corrosion of Conformity, Diamond Head and Gojira have been added to this year's Psycho Las Vegas lineup, joining an impressive roster that already included headliner King Diamond, the Melvins, Sleep and the Brian Jonestown Massacre, among many others.
The three-day festival takes place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Aug. 18-20 -- and don't worry, all the shows take place in air-conditioned indoor comfort, or at night by an open pool. As you can see from the full lineup poster below, the festival remains as dedicated as ever to presenting a wide, diverse and unique selection of underground, psychedelic and classic hard-rock and metal acts. For example, this will be your only chance to see King Diamond in the U.S. in 2017.
Corrosion of Conformity, who reunited with frontman Pepper Keenan back in 2014, are currently in the studio working on the long-awaited follow-up to 2005's excellent In the Arms of God. Diamond Head were one of the pioneers of the early '80s New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement, and have had three of their songs famously covered by Metallica over the years. Frehley's most recent effort was the 2016 covers collection Origins Vol. 1.
In addition to the dozens of acts slated for the three-day event, Pentagram -- whose celebratory set was one of the highlights of last year's festival -- will headline a special Psycho pool pre-party on Aug. 17. You can get full lineup, ticket and hotel information at the official Psycho Las Vegas website.
